The VDP system detects critical situations and stops the press before damages occur. Dies can be protected during production as a direct result - minimizing risks and saving costs.

VDP is a versatile, camera-based monitoring system—applicable for transfer presses, press lines, progressive dies, plastic processing, or assembly lines. The system can be integrated within 24 hours, even for non-Schuler brands, and is not limited to metal forming technology.
Up to eight monitoring functions, per die, is possible to tailor individual responses for each VDP system installed. The system detects foreign objects in the die, such as screws or blanking scrap, and checks if parts are correctly inserted, formed, and removed. VDP also monitors critical areas, such as centering or ejector pins, with increased precision.
Setting up the monitoring function takes no time at all thanks to the intuitive user interface. The data can be saved and retrieved again after changing back to the die. An automatic product data change, together with the press, is also possible. Schuler experts are continuously updating the system, in close collaboration with our customers, to increase its capabilities.
