VDP Analyzer is an optional and additional development of Schuler’s Visual Die Protection (VDP), a camera-based monitoring system. It displays the associated fault cause data in addition to VDP’s captured images. VDP Analyzer can examine the data series over a day or a shift and quickly identify when process fluctuations or machine stops occurred. This provides fault cause data that manufacturers can analyze and, therefore, make appropriate changes.
VDP Analyzer navigates through the production process stroke by stroke and determines if all parts are consistently placed in the correct position or if unintended fluctuations occurred. The analysis can encourage you to optimize the adjustment of the transfer grippers or guides, as just one example. Another example could be testing stroke rates for the highest and most stable throughput.

Using the VDP Analyzer, future system downtimes can be prevented, thereby increasing process stability and ultimately the output. The system also allows of time series and image data to be output for documentation purposes and future comparisons. The Visual Die Protection Analyzer can be accessed at the system, or optionally deployed remotely from an office workstation. Image data from the system can be exported for documentation purposes and for sharing with relevant employees.
